Union Pearson Express is a dedicated air-rail link that speeds travelers from Toronto Pearson International Airport to Union Station in the heart of downtown Toronto. It was projected to carry 2.35 million passengers annually, and eliminate approximately 1.2 million car trips in the first year of operation. The UP Express began operation on June 6, 2015, in time for the 2015 Pan American Games.
